Malaysia-South African relations (Malay: ''Hubungan Malaysia–Afrika Selatan'' Afrikaans: ''Maleisië-Suid-Afrika verhoudings'') refers to the current and historical relationship between Malaysia and South Africa. Formal relations were established in 1993 and, in 2010, Malaysia was the fourth largest new investor in South Africa.〔(Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Africa )〕 Both are full members of the Commonwealth. ==Trade== In 2010, Malaysia was South Africa's 20th largest total trade partner with roughly 4.8 million Rand in volume.〔(South African Trade by COUNTRY (Rand '000) ) South African Department of Trade and Industry〕
